Diedra Heyward Social Worker of the Month for December 2025

CONGRATULATIONS Diedra Heyward!  It is our pleasure to recognize Diedra Heyward, Foster Care Team Lead with Charleston County DSS! Thank you, Diedra, for outstanding service to children and families!

From one of the foster families, “Mrs. Heyward is always one call away. If needed, she will even assist whenever she can with children who are not on her caseload. On days that we foster parents just need to vent, she will always listen. Mrs. Heyward not only checks in regularly on her children, she also cares about the families, too!”

It’s also been said that Diedra never complains and never seems to run out of energy and definitely never gets tired of trying to do the best she can for her children!

Diedra, we appreciate you! It is our honor to recognize you as Social Worker of the Month!
