CONGRATULATIONS Darrel DeBerry! It is our pleasure to recognize Darrel DeBerry, Case Worker with Marlboro County DSS as Social Worker of the Month!
So many people nominated Darrel for Social Worker of the Month – his families, his co-workers – he is a true hero in his field. One family told us that Darrel goes above and beyond with each family he serves. He assists with any problems they have and always answers his phone whenever they call. He was also described as a great listener and encourager. Another word used to describe Darrel was PHENOMENAL (yes, in all caps). He was said to be a phenomenal case manager, always demonstrating respect and professionalism.
One family stated that upon having issues, Mr. DeBerry was able to discuss and help the family take the necessary steps to facilitate a different outcome. The family followed all the leads presented and things began changing for the better. This family said, “I would like Mr. DeBerry to be nominated for his hard work and dedication and wanted him to know that it does not go unnoticed.” Wow! That’s quite the praise!
A coworker told us that Darrel is compassionate and dedicated and that his commitment and positive attitude have a meaningful impact on not only his families, but other coworkers as well.
