“It is truly an honor to recognize Derrick Dixon, our foster care caseworker, for the outstanding work and dedication he consistently shows. From the very beginning of our journey as first-time foster parents, Derrick has gone above and beyond to ensure that not only our foster children felt supported and cared for, but that my husband and I felt confident, prepared, and encouraged every step of the way.
Derrick approaches his role with compassion, professionalism, and a genuine heart for families. He strives to create healthy homes and strong support systems, and it is evident in every interaction that he takes great care to ensure no detail is overlooked. Whether it was guiding us through the unfamiliar process, answering questions, checking in on us, or advocating for the best interests of the children, Derrick has been a steady and reassuring presence.
What sets Derrick apart is his sincerity and commitment. He doesn’t simply fulfill the requirements of his role—he invests in the families he serves. His kindness, patience, and encouragement made what could have been an overwhelming experience feel smooth and manageable. Because of his guidance, we were able to focus on what mattered most: providing a loving, stable environment for the children placed in our care.
