Eric Gary
May 2021

CONGRATULATIONS Eric!  It is our pleasure to recognize Eric Gary, with Laurens County DSS. Thank you, Eric, for outstanding service to children and families!

We have been told Eric is SO hard working, very responsive, takes his job very seriously, and truly loves all the children he serves.  Eric drives many miles to make sibling visits happen, regardless of the amount of time it takes from his day. He realizes this is not a typical 8-5 job, but instead, a lifestyle of service.

One family recalled this conversation with Eric:

“I said to Eric the other day, “You must be so tired of driving all these places to have the kids see each other.”

His reply was, “Well, it’s what they need and so very important.  You need to put these kids’ needs first, before your own.”

Very well stated, Eric!  Children and families in South Carolina thrive when those close to them have this kind of attitude! We appreciate you!
