National Youth in Transition Database

The National Youth in Transition Database is a collection of survey data about the experiences of youth in foster care as they transition into adulthood.

The survey is taken by youth at ages 17, 19, and 21 and focuses on six areas: Financial self-sufficiency, access to health insurance, educational attainment, high-risk behaviors, positive connections with adults, and housing/homelessness.

The Center for Child and Family Studies (CCFS) and the South Carolina Department of Social Services (SCDSS) are partners in The National Youth in Transition Database (NYTD).
